Russian troops are intensively shelling the recently abandoned Kherson. According to the city authorities, 63 attacks were recorded on the territory of the Kherson territorial community over the past five days (November 20-25). During this time, 15 people have already died, and dozens of local residents have been injured.
In particular, on November 24, the russian army shelled the Kherson region 49 times, 10 residents of the Kherson region were killed, and another 54 people were injured. According to the head of the region, Yaroslav Yanushevich, the last shelling occurred around 17:00, when the russian military fired artillery and MLRS on a residential area.
The apartment building caught fire. The shells hit the playground. As a result of shelling by russian troops, an 11-year-old boy was wounded, as well as a 16-year-old girl in the city of Berislav, Kherson region.
The russians hit a kindergarten, a heating point, high-rise buildings, and private houses with missiles. The russian military also fired on Zelenovka, Chernobaevka, Stepanovka, and Berislav. The head of the city military administration, Galina Lugovaya, called on the residents of the Kherson region to leave the area because of the shelling.
Since the liberation of Kherson, russian troops have been shelling the city regularly. On November 21, the Ministry for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Irina Vereshchuk called on the residents of Kherson to evacuate the city for the winter period.
Recall that the russian occupation troops captured Kherson in the first days of the war in early March. On November 11, Moscow announced that Kherson was returning to the control of the Ukrainian army. The russian military retreated from the right bank of the Dnieper, where, in particular, the regional center is located.
There is no light, heat, or water in the city. Many houses are mined. Humanitarian aid is being brought to the city and railway communication has been resumed.
