Russian propaganda is doing its job badly again

The information war between Russia and Ukraine continues. Today, pro-russian news channels on Telegram and TV broadcasts have been circulating a video from Donetsk, where allegedly Ukrainian troops launched rocket attacks on a local cultural center. But let's figure it all out ourselves.

A few days ago, pro-russian sources reported that a well-known separatist from Donbass and one of the founders of the "People's Militia of the Donetsk People's Republic" Olga Kachura (call sign "Korsa") died as a result of fierce fighting in eastern Ukraine. She is a former lieutenant colonel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, who since 2014 has gone over to the side of the russian occupiers.

She was the commander of a rocket-propelled artillery battalion of Grad combat vehicles, which repeatedly killed Ukrainian civilians. Sentenced in absentia by the Supreme Court of Ukraine to 12 years in prison. In 2014, she carried out a series of provocations, dressing in camouflage clothing of the Ukrainian army and launching rocket attacks on civilians. On July 29, 2022, she was killed by Ukrainian troops; on August 3, Vladimir Putin awarded her the title of "Hero of Russia".

A few days later, the funeral of Olga Kachura took place in Donetsk. To divert attention as much as possible from the high-profile murder of several dozen captured Ukrainian soldiers in Olenivka, Russian troops fired on the funeral procession. Whom did the propagandists blame? Of course, they reported that Donetsk was shelled by the Ukrainian military.

Russia's respected news agency RIA Novosti ("RIA News") reported this on its Telegram channel, saying that buildings in the area "began to be bombed for the first time in 8 years of the Ukrainian-Russian crisis." Thus, they confirmed the obvious thing - until February 24, in the east of Ukraine, there was no such terrible destruction and massacres as Putin and his army of terrorists did. Armed aggravation in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions is an internal problem of independent Ukraine, and no one had the right to send troops and start a full-scale war. The post was later removed.

And then - the time of fakes. A report on a television channel Russia Today known for its lies showed a report where the russians were filming a story about the people who died as a result of this incident. If you look closely, you can see how a woman lies and depicts a corpse. But then she moves her head, after which she is covered with a large rag. There is no point in watching further, russian news always shows fakes. But ordinary people believe this, because they were taught to believe the TV for many years.
